David Varon was born and raised in Lima, Peru. He spent his childhood learning the family-owned textile manufacturing business from his father and older siblings. He earned a B.S. in Financial Management from the University Ricardo Palma in Lima. Shortly after completing his bachelor’s degree, he emigrated to the United States and earned a master’s degree in financial management from University Of Phoenix in Tampa-Florida He is fully bilingual in Spanish and English.
After a stint running his own business, David worked in financial management of a global manufacturing company, eventually leading the Treasury management function, where he directed the global cash, liquidity, hedging and foreign exchange activity of the company. He also oversaw the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley act requirements and earned his Six Sigma Process Improvement certification.
He was recruited to direct the Treasury management functions of one of the largest (AMLAW 50) law firms in the country. Among other accomplishments, he led a team that developed an on-line bank platform to enable effective management of more than $350 million of client escrow and IOLTA funds in compliance with all ethical and regulatory requirements. This new platform was later adopted by most of the banking industry to assist law firms with their treasury needs. The platform continues to be used by many banks and law firms today. David championed the firm’s ERP systems migration, creating new processes, procedures and training materials as part of that effort. He also assisted with other financial and project management functions at the firm.
David decided to found Lilyka Solutions to provide the expertise he gained in these companies to other businesses. Lilyka Solutions specializes in Financial and Treasury Management and Process Improvement services for companies of any size, with a particular expertise in Treasury Management services for law firms. Lilyka’s Process Improvement and Project Management services employ Six Sigma methodology to develop ways to make current operations more efficient.

David lives in downtown Tampa with his family. Outside of the office, you might find him riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles along Bay Shore Boulevard or spending time at home with his family.
